Coaster Racer 2 follows the first Coaster Racer and keeps its taste for tracks that send you into the air. The sequel adds a few things, most notably nitro for bursts of speed, a set of challenge events, and motorbikes to ride next to the cars. Our Racing category has plenty more to race after this.
Having two kinds of vehicle gives you a choice of ride, and the challenge events offer something besides the regular races. Coaster Racer 2 runs in HTML5 right in your browser.
Racing with nitro
Pick a vehicle, line up and race. The nitro gives you extra speed, so the main decision is when to spend it, ideally on straight sections rather than right before a jump or a bend. Try the challenge events once you are comfortable with the regular ones. Steering and boost keys are listed on the start screen.
Faster laps
- Save nitro for straight stretches where you can use all of it.
- Try both a car and a bike, one may suit a track better than the other.
- Land each jump cleanly before accelerating hard again.
