Toy Defence turns World War II into a tabletop of toy soldiers. The missions move from the beaches and woods of Normandy to the deserts of North Africa, and in each one the enemy advances along a route you have to cover.
It is a strategy game with a lot going on at once, and it fits right in with our defense games. Recruiting the right troops and spending money on upgrades is what separates a close call from a clean win. Tablet owners can command the toy army with a finger.
Holding the front line
Place units along the path the enemy takes and let them fire as troops roll past. Winning earns funds that you spend on new recruits and on upgrades for the units you already have. Manage your army carefully, because later missions send stronger waves and one weak spot is enough to lose.
Tactics for toy generals
- Cover the bends in the road, enemies stay in range longer there.
- Upgrading a well placed unit is often better than buying a new weak one.
- Keep some money back for the moment a strong wave breaks through.
